Greetings from Reseda Charter. LA Unified is preparing to serve students at schools as soon as it’s possible, in the safest way possible. In preparation for an eventual return to campus, we are giving every family a choice to make the best decision for your child and your family – a return to school or continuing with online learning. Please complete the Program Selection form, available in multiple languages, for each child, also available at resedachaterhs.lausd.org under news and announcements, by Sunday, December 6. If no response is collected for your child, the default option for each student will be the Hybrid Model. Thank you.

Don’t forget School picture ID and textbook pick up day is from Tuesday, December 1 through Friday, December 4; students will come to campus to pick up their textbooks for spring and to take their student photos. Each grade level is assigned a day and students are assigned a specific time by the first letters of their last name. Good evening. This important message is on behalf of Reseda Charter Principal Welsh. The district’s School Experience Survey is now available for all parents and staff, and students in Grades 4-12. We encourage everyone to complete this survey no later than December 11 because it provides important feedback about the teaching and learning environment at our school.

This year, to protect the health and safety of everyone in our school community, we strongly encourage parents to take the survey online by going to achieve.lausd.net/schoolexperiencesurvey and clicking the “Parent Survey” button near the top of the page. The parent survey is available in English and Spanish and can be completed on any digital device, including the computers provided by LA Unified.

Greetings Reseda Charter Parents and Guardians. This is Principal Welsh with an important message. Los Angeles Unified School District is now offering free COVID-19 tests to all students.

The virus testing program is now underway and it’s time for our school to be tested.

We are asking parents to make an appointment for an initial test now to help us prepare for the opening of school for in-person instruction. Although the date when schools will re-open for in-person instruction is not yet known, taking an initial test now will provide valuable information about the incidence of COVID-19 in the communities we serve.

Immediately prior to the reopening of schools, all students and staff who will be returning to schools, will be provided with a further, back-to-school, baseline test.

Please schedule an appointment for your child at https://achieve.lausd.net/covidtestingappt. You can go to the testing center at Reseda Charter or the site most convenient for you.

You will need your child’s student ID number to schedule an appointment. You may obtain your child’s student ID number by accessing the Parent Portal at or by calling our LAUSD hotline at 213-443-1300. Once you’ve made the appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with details. Please be prepared to show the email on your phone or print out the confirmation and bring it with you to the appointment.
