The Los Angeles Unified School District is committed to fostering parent involvement in school decision-making processes. One way we achieve this is through the School’s English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), which is comprised of parents of English Learners. As advocates for meaningful parent participation, we encourage committee members to provide recommendations to the School Site Council on topics such as student programs, parent engagement activities, and educational initiatives.
As collaborative partners in your child’s education, ELAC members also play a key role in developing and implementing the Single Plan for Student Achievement, promoting school attendance, and conducting comprehensive needs assessments.
Our ELAC meetings occur once a month, six times a year, typically during the first week of the month at 8:00 A.M. in the Parent Center. For more information, please contact Ms. Anielka Anton at [email protected].
