Restitution for Damage to School Property
The Education Code provides that parents/guardians are responsible for District property loaned to students. Students who damage, deface, or vandalize their Chromebook may be charged for the cost to repair or replace the Chromebook. The cost can range from $50 to $350 depending on the damage. Students are encouraged to take care of their Chromebooks to avoid being charged for damage.
